The single input procedure consists of 3 steps.
You can get to the Single Input Step 1 page by clicking the
Single Input link located at the top header of each EFDB page. Step 1 - Choosing the 1996 and 2006 IPCC Source/Sink Category pairs This step requires you to choose one or more pairs of IPCC 1996/2006 Source/Sink Categories for your new emission factor. Choose the Initial IPCC Guidelines version from the dropdown box. Click on categories of the intitial version to expand/collapse IPCC Source/Sink Category tree levels. The IPCC category of other version corresponding to the category of initial version will be automatically selected according to relation defined between them. It is possible to select other IPCC category than one that is automatically selected, if necessary. The full name of the currently chosen IPCC Source/Sink Categories is displayed at the bottom of the page. If chosen IPCC Source/Sink Categories require the Fuel to be specified, dropdown box will be displayed to choose from available Fuel values. Fuel must be defined for IPCC Source/Sink Category 1A (1.A) and all of its subcategories. Additional pair of categories can be added by pressing the Add new IPCC Category pair button. Existing pair can be removed by pressing the Remove IPCC Category pair button. Emission Factor must contain at least one IPCC 1996/2006 Category pair - therefore it is not possible to remove the last one in collection. After choosing the desired IPCC Source/Sink Category pairs (and Fuel if applicable), you can proceed to step 2 by clicking the Proceed to Step 2 button.Step 2 - Choosing Gases This step requires you to choose one or more Gases (pollutants). The gases are split into several gas groups. You can choose the gas group using the dropdown box located at the top of the gas list. The list of gases for chosen gas group will be displayed. CO2, CH4 & N2O are displayed by default. Use checkbox located in the last column of each row of the list to assign it to Emission Factor. After choosing the desired gas(es), you can proceed to step 3 by clicking the Proceed to Step 3 button.Step 3 - Other EF Data The next page contains several dropdown boxes and textboxes which need to be filled. The mandatory fields are labeled with asterisk and must be specified. Other fields are optional and can stay empty. When done filling the form, click the Preview button. After that, the basic sanity check will be performed on the entered data. If something is wrong you will be given a hint on what needs to be corrected or what is missing yet. If everything is OK, your proposal will be displayed in preview mode to see how it will look like to EFDB users. If you are satisfied with the new proposal click Submit to post it to the Editorial Board, otherwise click Edit to return back to editing mode. |
