6th Corrigenda for IPCC 2006 Guidelines

 

  • Volume 4-1, page 7.5, change “(e.g., Boreal Env. Res. 11, 2006)” to “(e.g. see papers in Boreal Env. Res  11, 2006)”
  • Volume 4-1, page 7.14, change “Cleary, 2005” to “Cleary et al., 2005”.
  • Volume 4-1, page 7.23, change heading “SECTION 7.2: PEATLANDS MANAGED OR BEING CONVERTED FOR PEAT EXTRACTION” to “SECTION 7.1: INTRODUCTION & SECTION 7.2: PEATLANDS MANAGED OR BEING CONVERTED FOR PEAT EXTRACTION”.
  • Volume 4-2, Page 11.15, Equation 11.7A should be (according to the text) equivalent to Equation 11.6. Thus the correct Equation 11.7A should be:

  • In Volume 4-2, Page 11.17, Table 11.2, in the first term on the right hand side, “Crop (T)” should be replaced with “(Crop (T) /1000)”. The correct equation on the top of Table 11.2 should be:  AGDM(T) (Mg/ha) = (Crop (T) /1000) * slope(T) + intercept(T)
  • In Volume 4-2, Chapter 11, Page 11.19, Paragraph 11.2.2, footnote “20” should be inserted after “(FSOM)” in the last bullet.

    Worksheet corrigenda
    The following corrigenda apply ONLY to the worksheets. The text and methods in the main volume are correct as printed, this corrigenda makes the worksheets consistent with the main text. The corrected worksheets are presented in Annex1 and 2.

     

    Volume 2: Energy

  • The worksheets for 1B1 (pages A1.11-A1.12) should be replaced by those presented in annex 1 to this corrigenda. In worksheets for 1.B.1.a.i (sheets 1of3 and 2 of 3) need additional columns to account for any captured methane. Similarly sheet 3 of 3 needs an additional column for a factor to account of the combustion efficiency. In these tables (and also for 1.B.1.a.ii) the amount of coal mined should be the same as the amount of coal undergoing post-mining activities. See Annex1.

    Volume 5: Waste (see Annex2)

  • Page A1.4, column C should be “C = (A x B) x 10-3” not “E = (C-D) x 10-3”.
  • Page A1.5, footnote 5 and page A1.7, footnote 6: replace “reported only once (either for total MSW or the components)” with “reported either for total MSW or its components”.
  • Page A1.5, Category is “Waste Incineration” not “Incineration and Open Burning of Waste”.
  • Page A1.6, Category is “Open Burning of Waste” not “Incineration and Open Burning of Waste”. Category Code should be 4C2 and column F should be “F = A x B x C x D x E x 10-6” not “F = A x B x C x D x E”.

  • Page A1.17, column C: change “BOD” to “COD”.
  • Page A1.18, column C: change “BOD” to “COD”
  • Page A1.20, units for column D and E should be “kg N2O/year” instead of “kg N2O-N/year”.
