In Volume 4-1, Chapter 2, page 2.13, units in the definition of the parameter “BCEF_s” following Equation 2.8 should be “tonnes above-ground biomass (m³ growing stock volume)^-1” instead of “tonnes above-ground biomass growth (m³ growing stock volume)^-1”.

In Volume 4-1, Chapter 4 (Forest Land), Figure 4.1, the dimensional ratio (width: height) of the figure is incorrect. It should be replaced with one with the correct dimensional ratio of 1.54.

In Volume 4-2, Chapter 11, the following corrections should be made:

a. Equation 11.6 should be replaced with the following correct form of the equation:

b. Equation 11.7A should be replaced with the following correct form of the equation:

In Volume 4-2, Annex 1: Worksheets, page A1.21 (Cropland Remaining Cropland: Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass), the following corrections are to be made as shown below:

a. The column for “Annual areas of Cropland with perennial woody biomass (ha)” (fourth column from left) should be deleted.

b. In the column for “Annual growth rate of perennial woody biomass”(fifth column from left) the following corrections should be made:

i. “Annual growth rate of perennial woody biomass” should be replaced with “Annual growth of perennial woody biomass”.

ii. Units should be “tonnes C yr^-1” instead of “tonnes C ha^-1 yr^-1”.

iii. The following footnote 2 should be added after “Annual growth of perennial woody biomass”: “Annual biomass carbon growth (ΔC_G) is equal to the area of perennial crop that is not mature times biomass accumulation rate (G) using a national estimate or data from “Table 5.9.”

c. In the column for “Annual carbon stock in biomass removed(removal or harvest)” (sixth column from left):

i. The following footnote 3 should be added after “Annual carbon stock in biomass removed (removal or harvest)”: “Annual carbon stock in biomass removed (Δ C_L) is equal to the area of perennial crops that is annually harvested times the area-specific carbon stock value that is lost (L) using a national estimate or biomass carbon loss.”

ii. Units should be “tonnes C yr^-1” instead of “tonnes C ha^-1 yr^-1”.

d. In the column for “Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass” (seventh column from left) the following corrections should be made:

i. The following footnote 4 should be added after “Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass”: “If the area of perennial crops that was harvested in the inventory year equals the mean harvested area over the entire harvest cycle of the perennial crop, the annual change in carbon stocks in biomass can be taken to be zero, and ΔC_G and ΔC_L do not need to be estimated.”

ii. In the equation, “∆C_B = A*(∆C_G - ∆C_L)”, “A” should be deleted so the revised equation should read: “∆C_B = ∆C_G - ∆C_L”.

In Volume 4-2, Annex 1: Worksheets, page A1.24 (Land Converted to Cropland: Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass), the following corrections should be made:

a. In the column for “Annual biomass carbon growth” (seventh column from left),

i. The following footnote 2 should be added after “Annual biomass carbon growth”: “Annual biomass carbon growth (ΔC_G) is equal to the area of perennial crop that is not mature times biomass accumulation rate (G) using a national estimate or data from Table 5.9.”

ii. “National estimates, or” should be added before “Table 5.9”.

b. In the column for “Annual loss of biomass carbon” (eighth column from left), footnote 3 should be added after “Annual loss of biomass carbon” to read: “Annual carbon stock in biomass removed (ΔC_L) is equal to the area of perennial crops that is annually harvested times the area-specific carbon stock value that is lost (L) using a national estimate or biomass carbon loss data from Table 5.1.”

In Volume 4-2, Annex 1: Worksheets, page A1.30 (Land Converted to Grassland: Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass), the following corrections should be made:

a. In the column for “Annual biomass carbon growth” (ninth column from left), “Table 5.9” should be deleted and “National estimates” should be added.

b. In the column for “Annual loss of biomass carbon” (tenth column from left), “or Table 5.1” should be deleted.

In Volume 4-2, Annex 1: Worksheets, page A1.41 (Land Converted to Settlements: Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass), the following corrections should be made:

a. In the column for “Annual biomass carbon growth” (ninth column from left), “Table 5.9” should be deleted and “National estimates” should be added.

b. In the column for “Annual loss of biomass carbon” (tenth column from left), “or Table 5.1” should be deleted.

In Volume 4-2, Annex 1: Worksheets, page A1.45 (Land Converted to Other Land: Annual change in carbon stocks in biomass), the following corrections should be made:

a. In the column for “Annual biomass carbon growth” (ninth column from left), “Table 5.9” should be deleted and “National estimates” should be added.

b. In the column for “Annual loss of biomass carbon” (tenth column from left), “or Table 5.1” should be deleted.
